LifeGroups
Life is best together! We are created for relationships. While it is sometimes easy to get lost in the crowd on Sundays, LifeGroups are a great space for building relationships while growing in faith.
Where do LifeGroups meet?
Our LifeGroups meet in homes or coffee shops on a regular basis, usually once a week or every other week. Every group is unique, but all have the key ingredients of friendship, sharing the Bible, encouragement and prayer – and most involve food too.
find a lifegroup
You were designed by God to live in community. Now is the perfect time to join a LifeGroup, where you can be real and belong.
What exactly is a LifeGroup?
LifeGroups create a space for people to intentionally share their lives with others, grow spiritually together, and encourage each other through the highs and lows of life. A LifeGroup Leader determines how often their group meets and what the focus of the group is. LifeGroups gather in homes, coffee shops, and other places where people love to connect.
How do I join a LifeGroup?
First, give yourself a high five for taking the step to join a LifeGroup! Here are several easy ways to get connected:
- Visit the Info Wall at any of our LifeChurch Camouses and talk to our volunteers there.
- Find a LifeGroup near you or one that meets digitally using Zoom or other digital tools.
- Talk to someone you know who leads a LifeGroup and ask if their group is open to new members.
What do you actually do in a LifeGroup?
Every LifeGroup is unique. Some discuss the weekend message or complete Bible Plans in the YouVersion Bible App together, some serve together in the community, and some play board games or go sishing. Two things you will find in every LifeGroup, though, are relationships and conversations that help people grow in their faith.
Is it ok to shop around for a LifeGroup?
Absolutely! It’s understandable to want to find people you feel comfortable opening up to and developing friendships with. That being said, if you have joined a LifeGroup and aren’t sure if it’s the right fit for you, don’t give up. Keep in mind that there’s no such thing as a perfect LifeGroup because there are no perfect people. Remember to have grace and patience during the process. If it’s clear that this group isn’t the best fit for you, though, give another group a try.
What if there's no LifeGroup for what I'm looking for?
This might be a sign that God is calling you to start a group! If God’s placed a certain passion or calling within you, He might want you to take a step of faith and launch a LifeGroup around it. You won’t have to do this alone, though. Our LifeGroup Coordinator is here to support you every step of the way.
How do I start my own LifeGroup?
First, fill out our Volunteer Application. After that, LifeGroup coordinator will reach out to help you prepare to lead your group. Then, you can invite people to your group and start meeting!
What if I don't feel qualified to be a LifeGroup Leader?
Don’t worry—you don’t have to be a Bible scholar to lead a LifeGroup! We have lots of great resources to make leading a group as easy as possible, including conversation topics for your group, content to go through, tips for new leaders, and resources to help you develop and grow as a leader. You will also be connected to a LifeGroup Coordinator, who will be there to support you with prayer, resources, and encouragement along the way.
What if I have any other questions about LifeGroup?
We are here to help! If you attend LifeChurch, connect with LifeGroups Coordinator or talk with a volunteer at the Info Desk on the weekend.
